About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [seller's legal name and address] ("we") about the MemoriesArchived app and this website. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

MemoriesArchived is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Snap Inc. Snapchat is a trademark of Snap Inc.

What the app does

The app restores a Snapchat Memories export on your own computer: it writes dates, places, captions and stickers back into the photos and videos, names and sorts them, and saves them to a folder you choose. It can also add them to Apple Photos or upload them to your own Google Photos if you ask it to.

Your export and your files

Only use the app on exports you have the right to use, such as your own Snapchat account's, or someone else's with their permission.

The app only reads your export and never changes or deletes it. Keep your original ZIP files until you've checked the restored archive, and keep backups of anything that matters to you. Snapchat exports can be incomplete or unusual, so some memories may be restored without their caption, with an approximate time, or not at all; the app tells you when this happens.

The free allowance and paid plans

Your first 50 memories per Snapchat account are free, with every feature included. A memory is one photo or video, and restoring the same memories again doesn't use the allowance twice. The app recognises an account from the memories in its export, so exports that share no memories may be treated as separate accounts.

Monthly costs $5.45 a month and renews each month until you cancel. It allows unlimited memories while it is paid. Lifetime costs $15.75 once and allows unlimited memories, including new exports, for as long as we offer the app. Prices are in US dollars, and taxes may be added where they apply.

Plans are bought from inside the app, on Stripe's checkout page, and Stripe's own terms apply to the payment. A plan belongs to the Snapchat account it was bought for and can't be transferred to another one.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel Monthly at any time. It stays active until the end of the period you've paid for and then returns to the free allowance; we don't charge again after you cancel. Memories already restored stay on your computer whatever your plan.

Photo libraries

Adding memories to Apple Photos or Google Photos is optional. When you do, Apple's or Google's own terms apply to those services, uploads count towards your storage there, and you can disconnect Google Photos at any time.

Using the app fairly

Please don't try to get around the free allowance or a plan's limits, interfere with our servers, or resell the app or access to it. We may suspend access for anyone who does.

Changes and availability

We may update the app and these terms. If we change the terms in a way that matters, we'll say so on this website before the change takes effect. The app is in a private beta at the moment, which is invitation only, and features may change while it is.

No guarantees

We work hard to make the app reliable, but it is provided "as is", without promises that it will always work without errors or suit every export. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for lost or damaged files, or for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.
