The real date, back in every file
Snapchat's files carry the day you downloaded them. Each one gets its capture date and time written back in, so every photo app sorts it correctly.
Snapchat's export gives you thousands of files with random names, the wrong dates and the captions split off. MemoriesArchived puts them back together on your own computer.

Snapchat's files carry the day you downloaded them. Each one gets its capture date and time written back in, so every photo app sorts it correctly.
GPS coordinates from the export go into the file, so your photo app can show memories on a map.
Your text, drawings and stickers come as a separate file. They are layered back on, the way you saw them in the app.
Files are named by date and place, like 2019-07-04_malibu.jpg, and sorted into year and month folders.
Optionally get the archive as date-ordered ZIP files, each complete on its own, so a large archive uploads in parts.
Run it again on the same export and it skips what's already done, without overwriting anything.
In Snapchat, go to Settings, then My Data, and tick both Export your Memories and Export JSON Files before you submit. Snapchat emails you when the download is ready.
Download every part Snapchat gives you and drag them into the app, or pick the folder they're in.
Your memories appear in a folder on your computer, dated, named and sorted, ready for your photo app or your backup drive.
Everything happens on your own machine. There is nothing to sign up for, and nothing is uploaded to us. Your photos and videos only leave your computer if you choose to add them to your own Google Photos, and then they go straight to your Google account.

A memory is one photo or video. Restoring the same memories again never counts twice.
It fixes the files Snapchat gives you. Every photo and video in the export carries the day you downloaded it, and captions come as separate files. MemoriesArchived puts the real date, time and place back into each file and adds your captions and stickers back on.
Yes. Once they're in your photo library, each memory lands on the day it was taken, and on the map where it was taken, instead of piling up on the day you downloaded them.
Not to us. All the work happens on your computer. To check your plan the app sends scrambled codes made from your memories' IDs, never the photos, videos, dates or locations. The privacy page lists exactly what is sent.
On a Mac it can add them to Apple Photos, and with iCloud Photos on they reach your iPhone too. On Mac or Windows it can upload them to your own Google Photos, straight from your computer to your Google account.
A Mac or Windows PC and your Memories export from Snapchat, requested with Export your Memories and Export JSON Files both ticked.
Request a new export with both ticked. Snapchat only allows a new request 48 hours after your last one finished.
Each photo or video is one memory. The free allowance covers 50 different memories per Snapchat account, and restoring the same ones again doesn't use it up.
No. There's no sign-up, email or password. The app recognises your Snapchat account from the memories in your export.
